Straw fire is when an already kiln-fired ocarina is put inside a fire-proof container and fired again with combustable straw. The smoke from the fire makes organic designs and rich woodsy color on the surface of the ocarina. The ocarina is then polished with an organic lacquer which comes from certain trees. Camphor oil is used to thin the lacquer. There are a very small number of individuals who have reported allergic reactions to the Straw Fired ocarinas. If you think you may be allergic to lacquer, or camphor oil, please choose a different ocarina. |

This four-piece set is Focalink's Forte design and includes ocarinas with keys Soprano C, G, F and Alto C.
These Forte model ocarinas have larger volumes than our standard design and therefore require a stronger blowing strength to achieve the right keys and the best sound quality.
Special straw-fired trace makes these instruments extremely sought after. Ocarina body is applied with vaseline and lacquer is applied on the mouthpiece part.
Specially designed Aluminum carrying case is equipped with. And each set comes with a fingering chart, polishing cloth and metal channel cleaner.
